Puck-a-tron (Fall 2024)
The Puck-a-tron is a 1/3rd scale hockey puck launcher designed for Boise State University's Mechanical Engineering Junior Design class.
The goal of the project was to design and build a device to launch the miniature hockey pucks within certain specifications. The Puck-a-tron is able to launch miniature hockey pucks between 10-60 mph and a 90-degree angle range.
The device is controlled using an Arduino Romeo and remote control. An RC car motor is used to power the fly wheel while additional 20kg servos are used to launch the pucks and change the launch angle.
All components were made and assembled in the Boise State University Engineering Innovation Studio.
